Oh my….it’s almost the middle of January and here I am JUST NOW getting to my Christmas post. Can you say embarrassing? I sure can. Between the traveling and packing there has just been little to no time for blogging, so hopefully after the next couple of weeks are behind us I will be back on here more often. So here was our Christmas… Warning…this is a long picture post.
We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here in KC with my family. We really wanted to have one last Christmas here at our house, so that’s what we did this year. We went to Colonial for their Christmas Eve Service and it was so wonderful! My folks came along and get this….this was the first the in 30 YEARS that they weren’t in charge of a Christmas Eve Service. I think they enjoyed just being there and finally sitting in the audience for once.

Little dolly all ready to go to church. Her dress this year was from Old Navy.
Me and my little best friend
We went back to my folks after church for dinner and presents. And boy, the food did not disappoint! Eric smoked about 7 pounds of BBQ pork, we had numerous chip and dips, shrimp, cookies, fruit and all of our other favorite Christmas goodies.

The picture is blurry, but priceless. Grandma photobombing Nora when she finally fell asleep
We always spend the night at my parents house Christmas Eve and started a new tradition last year of having my dad’s famous crepes for breakfast on Christmas Morning. Nora was thrilled about the copious amounts of whipped cream.
We got Grandma into my folks house for our big ham dinner Christmas Day. Nora loves Great Grandma Mary and the electric wheelchair rides she gives her 🙂
Christmas Eve night, we drove up to Nebraska to spend a week with Eric’s family. We had our Christmas morning one day late and it was so fun being together at the farm, but we missed Patrick, Elisa and Dakota
Erin opening gifts
We had a couple of really nice days while we were in Milford and took advantage of some time at the farm. Little Nora loved it!
Nora NOT sitting like a lady with Auntie Ellie
Got a day to go shopping with Erin and Ellie in Lincoln before we left for Colorado to see our Elisa, Patrick and little baby Dakota.
Obviously Nora loved the hotel room beds. It was so hard getting her to bed at night. All she wanted to do was jump, scream and giggle.
View of Pike’s Peak from our hotel
Meeting baby Dakota for the first time
All the sisters and babies together on one couch. SO FUN!!
Loved getting baby snuggles all weekend 🙂
Auntie Lis reading to Nora
I mean that face, really? Too sweet!
And of course staying in a hotel means swimming in the pool!
Love Eric’s face
We took another nice afternoon and went to Garden of the God’s. Nora enjoyed riding on Grandpa’s shoulders.
Nora got a tad jealous that someone else had Grandma’s attention.
And the best picture of our trip? Nora and her trike. That face says it all 🙂
