38 Week Bumpdate

in Uncategorized on September 14, 2014

How Many Weeks Along: 38
Size of Baby: a watermelon
Gender: Girl! Girl! Girl!
Weight Gain: No gain this week, so up 21 pounds total. Per my doctor’s scale I’ve lost 3 pounds this week, so who really knows at this point.
Movement: Still decreased most of the time.
Maternity Clothes: Yes, but feeling fat in everything. That stage of the pregnancy has finally come 🙁
Symptoms: Still have lots of back pain. But I’m almost there!! It’s going to be so worth it when they lay that little girl on my chest! Speaking of chests, holy boob pain this week! Continuing to have lots of irregular contractions, but I continue to make progress; Dr. Friesen said I’m dialated a little bit more very easily to a 3 and 70% effaced!
Sleep: Not the greatest, but that is due to a very restless little girl named Nora who wants her Mommy to sleep with her every night. I think she knows something is going on.
Cravings: Sushi and pumpkin anything. It’s the season 🙂
Best Moment of the Week: Nora’s birthday was today and I’m pretty sure she had the best day of her life. What a joy to watch our baby girl turn two 🙂
Lookin Forward To: This is our last week as a family of three. If I don’t go into labor naturally by Monday September 22nd, then they will induce me, due to the fact that we live 45 minutes from the hospital, that I am group B strep positive and that my labor with Nora was ridiculously fast. I want this week to be special for the three of us and make some fun memories together before this next little gal comes.
