Andersyn Joy – 3 Months (updated a few days late, whoopsie!)
Weight – a little over 14 pounds per the home scale
Length – long 🙂
Clothing – Mostly 3-6 month clothes, but a few 0-3 still fit. Wearing size 2 diapers.
Feedings and Schedule – Andersyn is still our little oinker, eating about every two hours during the day with her last feeding around nine, then she is down for the night until about 6am. Then she sleeps again until about 830 and we do our eat, play, sleep routine all day, taking 30-45 minute cat naps and one long(er) nap in the afternoon. She still cluster feeds at night, about every hour for 3 hours, but they are relatively short feedings. I’m just so grateful we are sleeping at night! She is still doing well taking a bottle, which helps sometimes at night to give me a break when she cluster feeds.
Likes – She loves to be held facing out and moving around. We don’t stay on one place too long for fear of boredom:) Andersyn loves watching and smiling at her big sister, playing on her activity mat, taking naps in her swing, taking warm baths and being rocked to sleep. Her Bjorn is always a hit when my hands are tied and her pacifier is a lifesaver! She is just such a happy baby during the day! But the thing Andi loves the most?? Sleeping on her tummy!
Dislikes – Girlfriend HATES her car seat with a violent passion. Don’t even ask about our drive to KC for Christmas 🙁 She doesn’t enjoy being propped up over your shoulder and is all a fuss when she can’t see what is going on. She has been pretty clingy to me recently, so sometimes other people are a no no. We are working on that.
Milestones – Andersyn continues to be our easy smiler. She has started giving little giggles and is a super “talkative” baby. She is really grabbing at things lately, toys on her play mat, hair, clothes, whatever she can get her hands on. Her eyesight is getting better and it’s so fun to watch her follow people around the room. She also started rolling over some this month and has really gotten the hang of tummy time. She has started to to figure out how to push her pacifier back in when it is falling out and loves to take it out of her mouth and wave it around then pop it back in.
Fun Firsts – Andi has had a busy month of Christmas events this month. Which means being exposed to lots of people, so she and Nora both got colds 🙁 We went to KC for Thanksgiving and she got to meet lots of new friends while we were there. It has been so fun having a baby in the house again during the holidays. There is just something magical about it.
I feel like Andersyn’s personality and alertness is really shining through this past month. She became more of a “little person” these past few weeks and it is so exciting starting to figure out who she is and what she will become as a little girl. We continue to just love our sweet girl to pieces. I can’t wait to see what happens in her tiny life this next month!
