Things you like this month:
As pictured above, you climb anything and everything, and it terrifies your mommy! You love to walk and are getting pretty good at it! You still hang onto furniture and (literally) run around the couch chasing your sister. You love to eat, go for walks, swing, play with your big sister’s toys, meander from room to room in the house and play in the kitchen cabinets, dishwasher and under the dining room table. The pool is always a favorite place to play and you continue to love bath time with Nora. And sweet girl, you finally have taken interest in TV this month. It’s adorable seeing you watch Mickey and Little Einsteins! But the thing you love the very most?
Nora Sue 🙂
Things you don’t like this month:
This is a sad one this month. You and your sister both got sick with sore throats this month and when that happened, you completely stopped breastfeeding. For being a baby who LOVED nursing, it was like all of the sudden you detested it. We tried and tried to get you to nurse again, but it just never happened. I think it had something to do with being sick/teething. Either way, you no longer want me, just a bottle. Another post for another day on that one.
You still aren’t a huge fan of your car seat or having to sit still in general. We are at that point where we go to church, but never really get to hear anything because we are always out in the foyer or the nursery letting you be loud 🙂 While you love your big sister, you don’t like it when she smothers you (can’t really blame you there!) and one of these days, you are just going to body slam her back, I can see the determination growing in your eyes.
Food:
As I mentioned, you no longer are breastfeeding, just taking bottles, usually about five 6oz bottles a day. You eat ANYTHING we give you! You even had your first ear of corn on the cob earlier this week (farmer daddy was so proud!). We started giving you a sippy cup with water in it for your meals this month as well and you are SO proud drinking it! Your favorite snack is animal crackers and you and Nora always share a bowl in the afternoon together.
Fun Milestones:
You started walking shortly after turning 9 months old and you are really starting to get good at it! You kind of stopped the week you were sick, but now it’s like nothing can stop you. I am beyond proud! You have also found your voice in a whole new way this month, shrieking and yelling back and forth with Nora and yelling for attention. Nora was never a really vocal baby, so this is very new to your mommy and daddy! You also finally started to sleep longer, from 830-530. It’s glorious for everyone.
One thing that you have really started taking to this month is reading books. For the longest time you just had no desire to even flip through them, but now you cry until we sit down and read them together. And I LOVE it! It’s something that the three of us girls can do together, and it’s so sweet watching Nora read you books and tell you what you are looking at.
You have also started to get to know Hammie and Pop Pop better this month, really getting comfortable around them and being excited to see them. It’s so fun watching your relationship with them grow!
Andersyn Joy, you are a smart, inquisitive, delightful, beautiful child. Your chubby rolls beckon strangers and your smile is contagious. Your eyes have started to sparkle and show your personality in new ways this month, making it an even bigger joy being your mom. I love you so dearly, sweet child. Being your mom is the best.

Oh that girl! She is so sweet! And maybe a bit ornery??? 🙂
