Andersyn Joy – 4 Months
Weight – 15 pounds
Length – We will find out at her appointment next week
Clothes – All 3-6 month clothes, size 2 diapers during the day, size 3 at night to prevent leaking 🙂
Schedule – Seriously, what is that? Our lives have been beyond crazy busy this month and we don’t have much of a schedule anymore. She still does the eat, play, sleep routine and usually that goes on a two-three hour cycle. Her naps are usually 30 minutes (short) long, but every once in a while she will surprise us with a 90 minute nap. I so wish I could just stay home an be confined (with out being sick) for a week and nail a solid schedule down, but such as life. Before getting sick, she was sleeping from 9pm-5am. It was glorious, but now we are all over the place again after struggling the past week with a horrific upper respiratory infection. We will get that back someday, I’m sure.
Likes – Andersyn continues to move around and be on the go and enjoys being in her Bjorn. She loves facing outwards and checking everything out, especially her if it’s sister, Nora. There is no one that she smiles more at than her, and Nora has really taken a significant interest in her this past month. Andi still likes to grasp onto toys and chew on them, play on her play mat, look at books and watch Nora play. We also started putting her in her bouncer/bumbo for a few minutes each day and she seems to enjoy it. Our little gal loves to be held, but is slowly getting better about spending time on the floor or in her swing. She still LOVES bath time and her pacifier.
Dislikes – Andi does not like to be stationary. Sitting down during her fussy periods will cause almost immediate tears. She continues to have a pretty poor relationship with her car seat and it causes this mommy some social/travel anxiety when I have to take her somewhere. We are slowly working on spending more time in the van and figuring out some new distractions for her. She still isn’t a fan of wearing clothes and could be just in her diaper 24/7 and be perfectly content, so she usually spends some time in “just her diapee” as Nora calls it, a couple of times a day. She does not enjoy having her face wiped off, but drools and spits up quite a bit so she needs it often.
Milestones – Andersyn can now roll BOTH ways and is quite the mover! She is also starting to enjoy looking at books and examining toys. She loves putting teething toys in her mouth and is getting so good at grasping them! Her head control continues to amaze me and she is starting to cling onto us when we carry her around. She caught another cold this month and was put on her first ever round of antibiotics. She has tolerated it well so far, as we are still in the middle of it. She finally started giggling and giving us little laughs this month and has really found her voice; what a vocal little thing she is!
Although a more fussy baby, this girl lights up or lives with her huge smile. Even when she is crying, she will crack smiles at us if we prompt her to. This month will be a crazy one with **hopefully** getting the final stages of our house done, and I selfishly hope and pray that she does well while we are over working at the house. And if she doesn’t do well… We will just walk her around and watch everyone else work 😉
I love you so much, my sweet little chunky monkey. I can’t wait to spend this month with you!
