Length – I have no clue, but she can officially touch the ground in her bouncer with both feet flat on the floor and last month she could barely touch with her toes, so she is growing!
Clothes – Most of her 3-6 month clothes are getting pretty snug, so I busted out her 6-9 month clothes this week and they fit pretty great. In size 3 diapers
Schedule – We have kind of figured out a bit of a schedule with Andi this month. She wakes up at 7am every morning and we operate on an eat, play sleep schedule pretty consistently. She normally is up for 1.5-2 hours, then takes a 30 minute nap, then we start over again. She is normally in bed by 8:30 every night. She usually wakes up at about 5 to eat in the morning, then is back asleep until 7, but I would love it if she would drop that early morning feeding soon. We definitely experienced the 4 month sleep regression for about 2 weeks and it was miserable.
Likes – Andi continues to love to nurse. She is quite the little eater and her favorite thing is nursing to sleep at night (it’s one of my favorite things, too!), and if she isn’t able to do that, she isn’t happy, which has caused some issues with me being gone in the evenings. She loves her bouncer and high chair, really just being upright in general. She started sitting up at the end of this month and it has really been a game changer for her. Honestly, I just sat her up one day and she never wobbled or fell down, she just picked it up like that! I was truly amazed! Andersyn is still a big fan of bath time, taking showers with me and getting all lotioned up before bed time. And what does she love the most? Her big sister Nora, of course. And Nora loves her right back. Watching them together is the biggest reward of motherhood, I swear. It just gets sweeter and more beautiful every day.
Dislikes – Andersyn will occasionally have a few hard evenings every once in a while when she is just fussy and uncomfortable. We can’t really figure out why this is, so we just go with it. She doesn’t like to sit still, so she gets carried around quite a bit, but is getting better now that she can sit up by herself. She likes to have something in her hands at all times to chew on, so when she is empty handed, we hear about it 🙂 And like I mentioned earlier, she does NOT like being with out me around in the evenings. She screams, cries, throws herself around…. and right when I get home and she is handed over to me, she immediately stops crying. I thought separation anxiety didn’t start until like 9 or 10 months, right?
Milestones – Rolling back and forth all over the place, sitting up by herself, more accurately grabbing things with her hands and transferring them, blowing raspberries, GIGGLING AND LAUGHING, scooting all over the floor and spinning in circles, started taking rice cereal, reaching for people and she officially found her voice this month. She shrieks, yells, coos grunts, you name it. It’s adorable, except when she does it every Sunday in church.
It is an absolute DELIGHT watching this sweet child grow and change every day. I can’t describe the blessing it is being her Mommy and I just love my time at home with her and her big sister. I’m so excited to see what happens with her this month, which will (hopefully!) include getting her nursery put together in our new house. EEK!
