Big. Big. Big.
That’s the word of this stage of life we are at with Miss Nora Sue right now. She is such a big little person, weighing in at a whopping 30 pounds π Her personality is skyrocketing and her spunky attitude becomes more apparent with each passing day. I can truly say that my girl is one of a kind. Good grief, I hit the jack pot with her.
I thought it might be fun to hear directly from Nora about some of the things that she enjoys these days, so the answers are purely hers, the explanations are mine π
Favorite Food: “Um…. Strawberries… And blueberries… Some grapes and cake. Candy is good, too.”
The girl loved her fruit and would eat it all day if I let her. She always asks for candy, specifically suckers and M&M’s. We have really tried to keep an eye on how much she eats, but she comes by it honestly being Eric’s child.
Favorite Clothes: “My singing Elsa dress. And my ‘Daddy’s Little Cupcake’ pajamas. Oh, and my Sophia shoes!”
No explanation needed here.
Favorite Toy: “All of my babies. I like to put them to sleep and feed them. I love my trains, my ‘guys’ and castle, my crafts and all my things. Can we go play outside?”
Nora is so funny, she goes through spurts of what she plays with, although her babies are always with her. She loves to hoard all of her little toys and stash them in bags, carrying them around saying, “Look at all my things! My bag is so full of things!” It makes me laugh every time. But of course, playing outside always wins her heart over π
Favorite TV Show or Movie: “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Snow White.”
Girl friend LOVES anything Disney and is really starting to love the old classics!
Who are your friends? Mommy, Daddy Andi Joy, my family and my babies.
What is your favorite song? “Jesus Loves Me.”
My heart totally just melted.
What is your favorite book? “Henry Babysits and my Mickey book.”
Henry Babysits is an old book the my MIL got for Nora and her Mickey book is a search book. We read them almost every night!
Some of my favorite things Nora says these days:
“Don’t leave!” While trying to lay her down at night.
“I’m so overwhelmed!”
“I didn’t even know that!” When she is surprised about something.
“That really hurts my heart, right here.” As she pats her chest.
“I’m so glad your here!!” When she is happy to see someone.
“I’m Nora Sue and I’m two and a half.”
“Andi, we don’t say shut up!” Nora is the bad word patrol around here π
“I’m feeling a little bit betta!” After both of the girls had whooping cough, Nora enjoyed telling us that her health was improving.
These are just a few of the funny things that come out of her mouth. The list could go on and on!
Some of her milestones as of late:
Can count to 20, say her ABC’s, talks in complete sentences, knows all of her colors (starting to learn shades, I’m so proud!), loved to point out shapes and patterns, is starting to help out with chores consistently, can draw eyes, hair and shoes on stick people that I draw for her, can put on her own shoes and take her clothes off by herself and has a COMPLETE mind of her own!
I’m so thankful that God gas given me the opportunity to be Nora’s mommy. What a blessing she is to everyone she meets!!
