As women it’s hard to decide which voices to listen to when we are trying to choose how to live our lives and who we want to become.
the media.
friends.
celebrities.
church leaders.
the mom down the street.
our husbands.
our insecurities.
The voices seem to shout at us from everywhere, whether we want to listen to them or not. And if you’re anything like me, it’s hard to be confident in who I am as a woman when all of those voices contradict one another.
One of the things that continues to be thrown my direction is that I need to be a strong woman; an empowered woman. But with all of the differing views from these voices I hear it’s hard to know what a strong woman really is. And that tends to make me feel inadequate and insecure.
But ladies, I’m here to set the record straight. Together, we are going to define what being a strong woman means, and we are going to start with recognizing that it has absolutely nothing to do with us.
But what are you talking about? Aren’t we talking about woman power, here?
Actually, sweet friend, we aren’t talking about woman power. But I am talking about a power that lives inside of you. I’m talking about everything He is and everything you need. I’m talking about throwing off everything that hinders and entangles us and running with strength and perseverance. And the best news is, this empowerment is right at your fingertips.
Christ. In You.
Let’s journey together these next few weeks and discover what it means to be empowered by the strength of Christ in us. To look at ourselves and recognize the potential that each of us have as mothers and wives and how, even in the smallest moments, that Jesus can change everything when we allow Him to. To live our lives believing that because of God’s truth we can live with confidence that when we prayerfully surrender our whole hearts and bodies to Him, that His peace and wisdom will provide us with the grace we need in His perfect time.
I can’t wait to dive into this new series with you and together realize the potential we have to be empowered with the strength of Christ in us.
Welcome to the Empowered Womanhood Project.

Love this! You are so right- our strength has nothing to do with us and everything to do with Jesus! Look forward to reading these posts!

Thank you so much Harmony! I’m excited for us to be able to grow in this together – it’s so important that we realize our strength is nothing of our own doing. Hugs to you!
