Friday is here again, that means the weekend is close at hand my friends. Sadly since Eric took our anniversary off on Wednesday, he has to work tomorrow. Oh, the life of an arborist…
Today I’m linking up with:
Being a newbie to the blog world, I have LOVED doing these link ups. It’s been so fun meeting other bloggers from all over the place and seeing what they are up to. Lots of fun DIY ideas, recipes, stories of their lives. It’s just great. Ok, so here we go with my 5 on Friday:
Ok, Nora and I did this Pinterest project this morning to create a Father’s Day gift for Eric. Can you say sticky fun? It was everywhere and she went nuts over it. Her inner Picasso came bursting forth and she made a wonderful creation to give to her Daddy on Sunday. We will most definitely be doing this again, even as she gets older.
Now I know a lot of your are from the South, and I’m sure your BBQ is great down there, but you haven’t tasted BBQ until you’ve had Oklahoma Joes. I’m headed out there for lunch today to meet with Nora’s L/D nurse to catch up then go do some shopping at Zuzu’s. I won’t lie…my mouth has been watering since last night just thinking about their Z-Man sandwich and onion rings. Oh. My. Finger. Licking. Goodness.
I’ve blogged about these a few times before, but felt the urge to share again. Please do yourself a favor, and buy a pair of these. I wear them all the time (when I’m not wearing my Lulu’s, of course). They are the PERFECT length on my legs and hit me just right at the hip. Best of all – I don’t feel like a hoochie-mama teenager when I put them on. Amen and Amen.
4. The Pool
It’s going to be another hot and humid summer season here in Kansas, and we have already enjoyed a few afternoon dips to beat the heat. Nora was a bit timid at first, but she is pretty smitten with the water now. I have the feeling we will be there quite a bit this summer 🙂
5. Quality Time
This week, Eric and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. Whoop! Whoop! for us! We have had so many opportunities this week to spend some great time together, some of it with Nora, too. That time means the world to me. I am especially grateful for my parents for watching her so we could have some alone time. You can read more about my highlights of our past year here and about our week of celebrating here. So many reasons to be thankful 🙂
Happy weekend to all! And thanks again for another great link-up!

Okay, so I think we have pretty good barbeque down here in the Carolinas, but I will say that your picture above is making me positively salivate! Your BBQ looks positively YUM. Thanks for linking up with us!
April, I LOVE your link ups! Inhave looked forward to them each week 🙂
Kansas City BBQ is the best barbeque in the entire world. There is no rivaling it. /gavel
Aren't link ups so fun? I love doing them too!
Courtney, we should hook up for some BBQ next time you guys are in town. I would love to meet Miss Abagail.
I love all of this! I'm fairly new to the whole link-up thing too…it's fun isn't it?!
Happy anniversary to you & Eric! And Oklahoma Joes?? Don't even get me started! Lastly, I just can't leave a comment without saying how DARLING Nora is 🙂
