Soaking up the Sunshine

in Uncategorized on May 4, 2013

Well, we had the ultimate teaser here in Kansas City last week – 85 degree weather. It was absolutely glorious, making me thirst for warmer weather even more than I already was. Weather that warm meant it was time to break out summer toys and outfits. So, to Toys R Us we went to buy a pink baby pool and Little Tykes swing (you know you totally had one when you were little, too). Although we didn’t get to use the pool, we still got dressed up in our bathing suits, layed out and did LOTS of swinging for practically 2 days straight. Adorable pictures as follows:

All smiles

Precious bathing beauty

Action shot of the chubby legs

Squeal!

Giggle!

Nora’s new thing is to roll ALL OVER the floor. I think she has temporarily given up on crawling, as she steam rolls across the floor quite gracefully. In particular nowadays, she likes to be under any type of furniture she can roll her little fat body under. She gets quite frustrated when she can’t get underneath the couch. Too small a space for too big a babe. I’m convinced she is trying to get to the Cheerios I’ve missed while sweeping. Oops!

We had plans to go to Mecum this weekend, but between the busy work days getting Zuzu’s ready, moving my Grandma out of her apartment and Eric working on Saturday, we just didn’t have the energy to make it all the way down to Bartel Hall. Lucky for us, there was a hot rod show at the Great Mall and we were able to get out and enjoy the sunshine and all the cars. There was no Shelby GT-500 spottings, so we are still on the lookout to snap Nora’s picture next to one. Maybe the next show we will get lucky 🙂

I don’t think that “back fat” has ever looked cuter 🙂 Here’s hoping for warmer, drier weather and NO MORE SNOW! Bathing suit season is upon us, friends. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
