14 Week Bumpdate

in Uncategorized on March 31, 2014

How Far Along? 14 Weeks. Hello, second trimester!

Size of Baby: A lemon. I’m so in love with our little lemon 🙂

Gender: Patiently waiting until the middle of May.

Weight Gain: Up 1 pound this week from my starting weight to 135. And so the weight gain begins…..

Maternity Clothes: Still able to fit into most of my pre-maternity jeans with my belly band, but enjoying my H&M maternity jeans lots as well – they are just so much more comfortable! Lots of my shirts show off my little bump now, tight or loose, so I’m needing to be a little more conscious about what I’m wearing.

Movement: Ever since I felt the baby move last week, I’ve tried to lay still and feel that swirling again, but haven’t felt it yet. Maybe it’s because I ran out of Peanut Butter Eggs this week 🙂

Symptoms: Still taking my Zofran around the clock as well as my daily Protonix. Have had a few days of nausea here and there, but still have not thrown up this week, so that makes THREE weeks in a row now that I haven’t up chucked. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am. Lots of round ligament pain in my back and hips again this week, as well as some head aches. I got those around this time with Nora, too, so I’m guessing it is just normal. I have had lots of energy this week, which has been so nice since Nora and I have had lots of days playing outside.

Sleep: Sleeping great. No complaints here!

Cravings: Peanut Butter Eggs (duh), but I didn’t buy any more when I ran out earlier this week. I have been thinking and dreaming about Taco Bell lots lately, so Eric took me there on a date last night (our first real “date” since moving) and it was divine. I also had my first cup of decaf coffee last night at The Mill and it didn’t make me sick. It was so yummy!

Best Moment of the Week: Eric and I went on a date last night to Menard’s. We hadn’t been there yet to look for house stuff, and we found a few things there that we really liked. It was especially fun because I FINALLY found the PERFECT handles and knobs for our kitchen. Aside from that, it was really enjoyable to be alone with Eric, go out to eat and not share my food with a certain small someone and hold hands and drink coffee with my husband at a place we used to frequent for date nights before we got married.

Looking Forward To: I’m getting my hair done tomorrow. Highlights, a trim, everything. It’s been a long 4 months since I’ve had my hair highlighted and it needs it, embarrassingly so. Can’t wait for Allison to make me feel like a new mama 🙂

And this is just a cute picture of Nora eating a cupcake, just because it’s cute.

From a peach last post to a lemon…..and your wee tummy is looking sweet. I love that dress on you. Pregnant women have such fun choices now a days….I wore tents along with all the others…we knew no different:) Taco Bell cravings….you go girl! Chocolate cupcakes were served here to the littles this past week….Nora would have fit right in. Love ya!
