20 Week Bumpdate – Halfway There!

in Uncategorized on May 13, 2014

How Many Weeks Along? 20 weeks! We find out the gender of Baby Spach #2 on Wednesday at our anatomy scan, so prayers for a healthy baby would be so appreciated!

The past 48 hours have been a bit of a whirlwind for us. We had multiple tornadoes in our area on Mother’s Day and it has rocked our world in a very real way. We were so blessed that it did not hit our house, but we did lose one of pivots and had quite a bit of our crop washed out.
The real way our world has been rocked is through watching our dearest friends Kati and Dolen lose their entire farm and house. Words can not describe the emotions that ran over me as we drove up on their house this morning to help them salvage what they had left. In light of what has happened I’ve just decided to ask this week for prayer for our sweet friends. Pray for peace beyond all comprehension, joy amidst pain and hope that is all encompassing.
I took this picture this morning amidst the shuffling and moving things around. It reminds me of the beauty that remains in the middle of tradgety and the great promise that we have in God’s sovereignty. So join me today in praying for our friends, for our community.
