27 Week Bumpdate

in Uncategorized on June 30, 2014

How Many Weeks Along? 27 weeks!
Size do Baby: A cucumber
Gender: Baby girl. Nora and I went shopping to pick out her going home outfit yesterday 🙂
Weight again: Major growth spurt this week, up 2 pounds, up 12 pounds total.
Maternity Clothes: Yep, along with lots of yoga pants, gym shorts and tank tops.
Movement: Always 🙂 This was another way I could tell our little gal had a growth spurt this week. Her kicks got SO much stronger and I can finally start to figure out where her head, bum, arms and legs are. So fun watching her wiggle around in there!

Sleep: Since we were all sick this week, sleep was a struggle! Have also been woken up numerous times by some pretty severe storms and hail. When I have been woken up, baby girl has been kicking and moving all over the place. I think we may have a night owl on our hands. Yikes!

Symptoms: Still pretty bad acne, I’m really ready for that to be back to normal 🙁 All three of us have had horrible colds this week, so that was my main complaint this week. I think we are finally on the tail end of it though. I haven’t really felt my new medication work yet, maybe feeling some increased energy, but still waiting for some emotional relief. It will hopefully come soon.
Cravings: This week I wanted everything I shouldn’t have; cheeseburgers, peanut brittle, Mexican food… I am proud to say I held off on most of that until after my 3 hour glucose test was done, which I PASSED! So we celebrated last night at a little hole in the wall taco stand last night. It was so good!
Best Moment of the Week: Passing my glucose test was pretty great. Nora and I went shopping for a few baby things yesterday and we had so much fun! We also finished the baby’s name board for her new room last night and started working on the tulip garland. I think it’s going to turn out really cute!
Looking Forward To: I am became a member of our church today and I am so excited to be putting some roots down here in Nebraska with our church family! We are also going to KC for the holiday weekend and I’m looking forward to seeing my family and our sweet friends, the Houglands.
