Autumn Farmhouse

in Family and Farm, Old Fashioned Homemaking on August 22, 2017

Another Autumn is right around the corner here at the farm, which means that harvest is coming soon for our family. Right now our crops are nice and green, but pretty soon we are going to be seeing brown and orange hughes sweeping over our fields.

Inside our house, Fall has already arrived. There really is nothing quite like walking into our home and feeling the season that’s at hand. And Autumn is most definitely our favorite here at our farm.

So grab yourself a cup of something warm and come one in.

This green hutch is our newest piece in our home this year. I found it at a barn sale this Spring. My husband heard me gasp when I saw it and he automatically knew that I, “…want that green one in the back of the barn don’t you?”

He knows me well 🙂

The best thing was, once he got closer and looked it over, he agreed that we had to get it.

I love that I have a man with taste.

This window continues to be my favorite. This year I hung pictures from Autumns past, all the way back to the first Fall that Eric and I started dating. It’s like our own story book down the hallway.

I really hope that you’ve enjoyed a walk through our Autumn Farmhouse this year. In case you missed it, here was my Fall Farmhouse Tour from last year. I hope this gives you the itch to get your own home ready to fall into Autumn.
