Due to the 2 hour time change, I was up bright and early with Nora who seemed to have no concept of “sleeping in on vacation.” 🙂 We enjoyed coffee with Auntie Kathy’s famous cinnamon rolls and homemade bread with marmalade jelly and set off to my cousin Ade’s house who literally has the Vedder River in their backyard. I have only the fondest memories of my childhood in that river – playing with my cousins in the water, tubing down the river, bonfires on the banks, fishing for salmon…and now I was finally getting to share the experience with my husband and baby girl. That meant more to me than anything in the world.
Our early riser 🙂

Wild blackberries grow EVERYWHERE in the Fraser Valley. We ate them all week long
