August 1st is the official beginning of fall in the Eberspacher home. It’s the kickoff for all things wonderful: hot apple cider, Schaakes Pumpkin Patch, the Louisburg Cider Mill, mulled cider candles, glittery pumpkins, scarecrows, HUSKER FOOTBALL and all things in hues of orange, yellow and brown. Perhaps the most important part of fall for our family is harvest time. Those precious weeks when the Spachs reap what they have worked so hard to grow all year and our annual bonfire brings all of our family together from near and far. We look forward to it all year long.
Fall this year is a bit sad for me. This is the last autumn season in our sweet little home, which means it’s the last year for me to decorate for the season I love so much. When I box my decorations up this year, I won’t get to see them next fall, as we will most likely still be living with my in-laws. When they are taken out from their boxes next, they will be up in our brand new home out in the country in Milford. So this year I want to relish in all of my fall pretties for as long as I can. And I can already say that my heart is FULL every time I walk through the front door and take in a big breath of fall glory in our home. This year I also decided to not buy a single thing to add to my décor collection, so I got a little crafty during nap time. So let’s get started, shall we?
Fall Home Decor Tour!
Front room right when you come through the front door. LOVE my mantel!
Handsome scarecrow from Zuzu’s and old barn windows and doors. And of course, Baby Eleanor 🙂
Glittery pumpkins from Hobby Lobby, Metal “E” from Anthropology
Hanging pumpkin pillow from Zuzu’s. He’s kind of creepy at first, but in a creepy-cute kind of way
Old antique gate with antique bird cage from Zuzu’s, Autumn sign and fall spray from H.L.
I love changing the décor around this “window house” that my mom got me at a flea market. Pumpkin men from Zuzu’s, candy tree from H.L., blue end table from an antique store in Parkville, MO
Have to keep the table a little more clean this year than last with Nora around. Pumpkin vase from Nell Hills, candy lazy susan from Nell Hills also.
This was our table décor last year 🙂
Table with china hutch
Love me some burlap pennants! Made the pennants from scrap fabric from Nora’s letters in her room and extra burlap
China hutch again. Lantern from N.H., Pumpkin woman from Zuzu’s, silver platter from an antique store
Now who doesn’t love a bowl of metallic pinecones? I know I do! Pinecones from H.L., bowl from an antique store, “Give Thanks” sign from Zuzu’s
Had to give a little love to the cabinets, too. Pumpkins and vase from H.L., coffee sign from Zuzu’s, old shutter from an antique store
Empty window pane from an antique store, random glass bottles from around the house and nicknacks from fall décor past to give it a little autumn color
My kitchen sink is so happy! It makes me enjoy doing dishes 🙂 Made the fabric garland, again, out of leftover fabric scraps from Nora’s nursery
Precious pumpkin faces on a silver/burlap tree with white twinkling lights. All from Zuzu’s
Panoramic view of the first floor from our stairs. I love our home 🙂
And a picture of me in my p.j.’s in my year round fall bathroom. Yes, I love fall that much that I decided to dedicate a potty room to it.
I hope by seeing this it gets you excited for the fall season. I can’t wait to head out to Schaakes Pumpkin Patch in Lawrence in a few weeks and get our batch of pumpkins this year and decorate our front porch. And if your ever in Olathe or around our neighborhood, PLEASE stop by! Eric and I are always out back around the fire pit or drinking coffee and eating chocolate chip pumpkin cookies inside. We would love to have you over and chat awhile 🙂
We are off to British Columbia, Canada early tomorrow morning to see my family. There will be LOTS of posts to come about that next week, so stay tuned!
