August 1st is the official beginning of fall in the Eberspacher home. It’s the kickoff for all things wonderful: hot apple cider, Schaakes Pumpkin Patch, the Louisburg Cider Mill, mulled cider candles, glittery pumpkins, scarecrows, HUSKER FOOTBALL and all things in hues of orange, yellow and brown. Perhaps the most important part of fall for our family is harvest time. Those precious weeks when the Spachs reap what they have worked so hard to grow all year and our annual bonfire brings all of our family together from near and far. We look forward to it all year long.
Fall this year is a bit sad for me. This is the last autumn season in our sweet little home, which means it’s the last year for me to decorate for the season I love so much. When I box my decorations up this year, I won’t get to see them next fall, as we will most likely still be living with my in-laws. When they are taken out from their boxes next, they will be up in our brand new home out in the country in Milford. So this year I want to relish in all of my fall pretties for as long as I can. And I can already say that my heart is FULL every time I walk through the front door and take in a big breath of fall glory in our home. This year I also decided to not buy a single thing to add to my décor collection, so I got a little crafty during nap time. So let’s get started, shall we?
