It’s already been a couple of weeks since we turned the inside of the farmhouse into our very own winter wonderland. I’ve been posting occasional snipets on my IG account, but now it’s time to finally share it with you here on the blog!
This year it was so much fun to get the house into the Christmas spirit. And with the help from my littlest elves, it truly is a place that is making our spirits bright! I kept things pretty simple around here this year since this is the first year that we have a crawling baby who doesn’t understand “no” yet. But what I’ve learned is that simple is good. And it still feels warm and homey 🙂
If you want to check out any of my past Christmas home tours (even one from our little house in Kansas City!) you can see those here:Â Farmhouse Christmas 2016Â Farmhouse Christmas 2015Â Kansas City Christmas 2013
Please note the amount of tinsel that is NOT at the bottom of the tree.
Yes, I have found some of it in Deacon’s diaper.
This is one of my favorite Christmas decorations. This jeweled Christmas tree was made by my great grandma. I remember admiring it at my grandma’s house as a little girl, and now I have it in my house for the holidays. I love it.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed a peek inside our Nebraska farmhouse this Christmas season. Each new year that we are in our home, decorating for the holidays gets easier and easier. Because each year it feels more like home.
And there really is no place like home for the holidays.
