Yep, the title says it all. A lot happened this week! Normally I would write a separate post for each event, but time is limited these days, so it’s just going to be life overload. A brief synopsis – we are all ready to be DONE with harvest, I am consuming everything pumpkin spice flavored, the weather is getting chilly and we are continuing to figure out what being a family of 4 looks like.
The biggest thing that did happen this week – I made my first trip to Kansas City with the girls…BY. MY. SELF. Guys. GUYS! This was no small task. Was my decision questionable. Yes. Was it worth it to watch Nora trick-or-treat with her Hammie? Totally! Nora dressed up as her BFF Princess Sophia and Andersyn went as my BFF, a Chipotle’ burrito. Both were equally adorable.
Nora also got her first real hair cut this week. My dear girlie friend, Allison, gave both me and Nora much needed hair cuts. I was so nervous to see how Nora would do but Allison, having two ADORABLE little gals herself, was prepared and had suckers for Nora to eat while she trimmed. Smart woman, that Allison.
I took Nora to “Boo at the Zoo” earlier this week, too. Poor little gal has really been needing some one on one time with Mommy, so my sweet MIL took Andersyn for the night and Nora and I hit up the Lincoln Zoo as cowgirls for some good old fashioned trick-or-treating. We finished up our night with some fine dining at Taco Bell, her fav. Guys, she was a totally different kid the rest of the week after that night together. It just goes to show that kids really do thrive off of special attention. And we had an absolute blast together. I love spending time with my oldest girl. But I couldn’t totally leave Andi out…she dressed up as a cowgirl that day, too 🙂
We also spent a considerable amount of time in the combine/grain carts this week. Yup, all 4 of us piled into those little cabs. It was cozy, that’s for sure!
Whew! So that’s that. Here’s to a much LESS stressful and busy week ahead. And **hopefully** our last week of harvest.

Your so sweet, friend. But in all honest, I'm good for about three "holy $&!*" per day when I think we might not make it until Daddy comes home. We will survive!!! Il loving your Sawyer pics by the way 🙂 I could eat her up!
