How Many Weeks Along? 26 weeks
Size of Baby: An eggplant
Gender: A little baby sister π
Weight Gain: Up about a pound and a half the past few weeks, so up 10 pounds total.
Maternity Clothes: Yes, enjoying some new tank tops and shirts I got from Old Navy while back in Olathe last week. But if I were to be completely honest, I would love to walk around in my bra and undeeze all day long. I’m a furnace!
Movement: Oh, all the time. I don’t have to worry much about kick counts at this point, cause this little girl is constantly on the move! Feeling her a lot more in my sides and up near my ribs this week. And she had her first case of the hiccups yesterday!
Symptoms: My acne and skin is still zitty and not glowing. I have grown to accept it π Still having back pain, but mainly at the end of the day. I have been really continuing to struggle with hormones, tearfulness and anxiety for about the past month and a half. It’s been quite debilitating, to be honest. I never struggled at all with this during my pregnancy with Nora or anxiety in general, so this has been very new to me. Mainly feeling overwhelmed with daily happenings, feeling like the walls are closing in around me. So I talked to my doctor while I was there for my check up this week and after some prayer and talking with Eric, decided to put me on some medication to help with the anxiety. I started on Lexapro 5mg every morning this week and am hoping it will help me get through my days with a little less anxiety. I share this to hopefully encourage other pregnant mamas out there that there is a difference between being pregnant-hormonal and being consumed by anxiety that those hormones can bring. I am so glad that I reached out to my doctor for help and that I have a great support system at home, and for that I am truly blessed. So I would appreciate your prayers as I continue this pregnancy that the medication would help and that I would continue to rely on God’s strength to overcome these feelings of anxiety.
Sleep: Was sleeping really well until I started this new medication. Hoping my body adjusts fast!
Cravings: Nothing in particular this week, but sadly I failed my glucose test by 3 POINTS this week, so I have to go back for a 3-hour test Thursday. So if I do crave anything sugary this week, I’m going to have to practice some serious self restraint!
Best Moment of the Week: Seeing my family for vacation this past week was so fun! We had a blast down in Branson. We also started potty training Nora this week and she pooped in the potty all by herself Thursday and Friday. I’ve never been more proud!
Looking Forward To: Hopefully continuing the potty training process with success for our sweet little Nora! I would love to only have one baby in diapers when this new little cupcake arrives in September. Also looking forward to my Lexapro to give me a little bit of relief in the next few weeks. Just continuing to be very thankful for the great joy it is to be carrying this little baby girl. I am so in love with her already!

So cute!! Excited to hear more progress on Potty Training. We are just introducing the concept of the potty, but, it is not going great, I will be honest. π
