35 Week Bumpdate

in Uncategorized on August 24, 2014

How Many Weeks Along? 35 weeks
Size of Baby: a large cantoloupe. My doctor is estimating that she is a bit small and guesses she will be under 7 pounds when she is born. But of course that’s just a guess!
Gender: A baby sister for a very excited big sister πŸ™‚
Weight Gain: Up about 2 more pounds the past two weeks, up 19 pounds total. The whole “pound a week” thing is ringing true to my body at this point. I gained 22 pounds with Nora, but my goal this pregnancy is 25 pounds and to still weigh less than my husband (haha!) so I seem to be on track!
Movement: Have actually felt a decrease in movement this week. Doctor said it’s normal as she is running out of room, and boy can I tell! She continues to be head down, and her head was too low to accurately measure my fundal height. Go figure πŸ™‚
Maternity Clothes: Yes. Still loving my running shorts and tank tops. It’s been super hot and humid here this week, and I wish that I could just walk around naked lol.
Symptoms: My back pain is improving with chiropractic care and I feel like I can do a bit more because of it! Yay!! Feeling more tired and have been enjoying a few naps this week. I have unbelievable “low” pressure and have continued to have contractions and “zingers” down my legs from how low she is.
Sleep: Sleeping great thanks to my beloved Unisom! Just getting up to use the bathroom once a night.
Cravings: Anything cold… Fruit, ice cream, ice chips… You name it, I want it.
Best Moment of the Week: We had such a fun time at Milford Fun Days last weekend and when my parents visited. I also spent a majority of the day outside yesterday playing with Nora and I felt really well all day. It felt nice to feel a bit normal again πŸ™‚
Looking Forward To: I always look forward to Sundays, the day of the week that Eric doesn’t have to work πŸ™‚ He has been pretty busy this week so I am looking forward to spending some time with him tomorrow.

i'm just dying at how cute you are. seriously. so tiny. so cute. so glad her little noggin' is pointing down! my half sister just had a cesarian and i hadn't even thought of that as a possibility for my next one until that happened. and then i was like, "oh yeah. i guess that could happen!" so send good thoughts my way. πŸ™‚ five more weeks for you…nine for me!
