It is Friday! But around here, Friday doesn’t mean a whole lot since harvest is in full force. Things have been super busy around here, but there were still some pretty special moments on the farm that have been noteworthy. Here are FIVE things that I have loved about this past week.
1. Bringing Meals to the fields
We have brought lots of meals to the fields while the guys are combining this week. I have to admit, the girls have been absolute troopers. We have even snuck a couple of rides in the combine with Daddy while we have gone out there. We will take any time we can get with him these days.
2. Chilly Weather
We have had some cooler temps this past week and we are LOVING it! We pulled out all of our fall jackets and hats and have spent lots of time outside.
3. Homemade applesauce
Nora has been a big help in the kitchen this week! We made a test applesauce recipe earlier this week, and today we are making a few HUGE batches of it: cinnamon, peach and strawberry. I can’t even wait to see how it turns out!
And have my favorite little helper at my side, too.
4. Doing Laundry
My girl and her dress up clothes. Seriously, she wears them non stop. I posted to Facebook earlier this week that some days I feel more like the Fairy God Mother than Nora’s mama on laundry day. Haha!
5. The Squishy Human Body
I found this awesome human body teaching tool at Brain Works down at Prairie Fire in KC and it has been a total hit with Nora! We are beginning to learn general body parts and how our amazing bodies function. The nurse in me is in heaven right now! I’m excited to teach children her the basics and help her learn how she is fearfully and wonderfully made!
There is my five for this week! Our Boys in Blue lost last night, but we are still prepared to cheer for our Royals the rest of the weekend!

Oh Hey, it's Five on Friday!
Another week is coming to an end. And wow, was it a FULL week!! This weekend will continue to be packed with fun at Milford Fun Days (a local town celebration) and I can hardly even wait! There is just something so charming about small town pride and fun!
Here are FIVE things that we have had going on this week.
1. Figure 8 Race Date Night
At the end of every summer, we have our county fair. Before meeting Eric, this city girl had no clue what a figure 8 race was, but now I’m hooked π We went with our friends Dolen and Kati and just had a blast. And our trip to the fair involved corn dogs, naturally.
2. Playing at the Park
Now that Andersyn is in full running and climbing mode, our trips to the park are SO much easier and more fun! We have gone every day this week and have loved the cool morning temps. Makes me that much more excited for fall!
3. Speaking of Fall…
This next week I’m gong to be sharing my fall decor home tour. It has been so joyful for me to get all of my goodies out in our new home this year and I can’t wait to show it to you!
4. More and More Solids
This girl! Not only is she running all over the place, but my sweet 10 month old is eating table food like a total champ! I love watching her try new things and gobble her meals up. She literally snorts and grunts while she eats π Andersyn’s new favorite thing? Pears!
5. These Sunrises
Now that our deck is **almost** done, I have been spending some time after my work outs in the morning enjoying the sunrise. I love watching the sun peek over the grain elevator in the next town over and how the light reflects off our pond. I can hardly wait for Eric to get the railing up! I have a feeling we will be using our deck all the time.
Happy Friday friends! I hope your weekend is beautiful and relaxing. I can’t wait to enjoy some good family time and of course some great food π

Your sunrise is gorgeous, lady!!!! What is a figure 8 race?

I am with you about the sunrises. My husband thinks it's funny that my new favorite way to end the day is watching the sunset beyond the corn fields. But I love it and it's so gorgeous.
Oh Hey, it's Five on Friday!
It has been FOREVER and a day since I linked up with two groups of my favorite gals on Friday, but it’s time to get back in the swing of things! Here’s some great things that happened in the Eberspacher house this week!
1. Bountiful Garden!
We don’t have a garden of our own this year, but my sweet MIL has let us come over and reap some of the benefits of her’s. This week we got all kinds of potaoes, beans, peas and strawberries. The girls had so much fun, Eric and I even took them out to pick fresh mulberries the next day and we made a yummy mulberry-cherry pie!
2. Pool Days!
It’s official, my girls are water babies! We have spent many afternoons at our local pool and they both love to splash around.
3. Decking Chosen
We ordered our decking materials earlier this week and they should be here sometime at the end of next week. We are beyond thrilled to finally be moving forward with this stage of our house. We will be sitting out back sipping on sweet tea before you know it 😉
4. Our first “official” fire at our house
Nothing says summer like a campfire, and we finally had a clear, not rainy, not buggy night! It was a joy to sit out and watch the fireflies dance over our corn and listen to the fire crackle with my favorite guy.
5. These Girls
My moms group met for dinner last week and can I just say…. I LOVE each of them so dearly. They make my heart smile and remind me that I’m not alone on this journey of mamahood.

You know I love that royals gear!!!
Can I ask how you usually wash the dress up clothes? I'm always worried about ruining them so I usually just spot clean
lmeberspacher@gmail.com says
Ok, so I just spot washed for the longest time, too, until I just couldn't take it anymore! Plus, we host a couple of get togethers in our house every week where little kids come, so they were getting extra dirty!
I just wash on gentle, cold and about half a capful of detergent. I always do a double rinse just to make sure all the glitter is out, too π then I hang dry them. Nothing has fallen apart yet!

I have a feeling I will be washing a lot of dress up clothes in a year or so. My daughter LOVES putting her regular clothes on over whatever she is wearing and I think its time she has fun play clothes!

Seriously, dress up with a little one is SO much fun! You will have a blast π

Yum…send me some applesauce, will you?!? And I don't know what's more impressive–Nora's dress up collection or the fact that you wash them regularly. I'm embarrassed to say ours have never seen the laundry room…yikes!! And fingers crossed that the royals can hold onto this lead! Happy weekend, sweet friend!
lmeberspacher@gmail.com says
I would gladly send you some! Applesauce is one of my favorite things ever, and these batches turned out so yummy!
And I wash them so I'm not embarrassed when Nora's little friends come over and wear them, haha!
Sam O'Connor-Smith says
That apple sauce sounds amazing! And the dresses are so sweet! My boy is too young to want to play dress up yet, but I can't wait to see what he is interested in pretending to be! If it were up to my husband it would be comic book characters all day everyday!
Have a great weekend!

Sam, I have seen some awesome capes and masks at several stores recently! It will be so fun when he gets to that age! I'm excited for you just thinking about it!
